2 Cullanandiyajatakam idam tadacariyavacoti idam sattha veluvane viharanto devadattam arabbha kathesi. Ekadivasam hi bhikkhu dhammasabhayam katham samutthapesum avuso devadatto nama kakkhalo pharuso sahasiko sammasambuddhe abhimare payojesi, silam pavijjhi, nalagirim payojesi, khantimettanuddaya- mattampissa tathagate natthiti. Sattha agantva kayanuttha bhikkhave etarahi kathaya sannisinnati pucchitva imaya namati vutte na bhikkhave idaneva pubbepi devadatto kakkhalo pharuso nikkaruniko yevati vatva atitam ahari. Atite baranasiyam brahmadatte rajjam karente bodhisatto himavantappadese nandiyo nama vanaro ahosi. Kanitthabhatiko panassa cullanandiyo nama. Te ubhopi asitisahassavanaraparivara himavantappadese andham mataram patijagganta vasam kappesum. Te mataram sayanagumbe thapetva arannam pavisitva madhurani phalani labhitva matuya pesenti. Aharanaka tassa na denti. Sa khudaya pilita atthicammavasesa kisa ahosi. Atha nam bodhisatto aha mayam amma tumhakam madhuraphalani pesema, tumhe kasma milayathati. Tata naham labhamiti. Yutham pariharante mata me nassissati, yutham pahaya mataram yeva patijaggissamiti. So cullanandiyam pakkositva tata tvam yutham parihara, aham mataram patijaggissamiti aha. So pana bhatika mayham yuthapariharanena kammam natthi, ahampi matarameva patijaggissamiti aha. Iti te ubhopi ekachanda hutva yutham pahaya mataram gahetva himavanta oruyha paccante nigrodharukkhe vasam kappetva mataram patijaggimsu. Atheko baranasivasi brahmanamanavo takkasilayam disapamokkhassa acariyassa santike sabbasippani ugganhitva gamissamiti acariyam apucchi. Acariyopi angavijjanubhavena tassa kakkhalapharusasahasikabhavam natva tata tvam kakkhalo pharuso sahasiko, evarupanam pana na sabbakalam ekasadisameva ijjhati, mahavinasam mahadukkham passissasi, 1- tvam ma kakkhalo hosi, pacchanutapakaram kammam ma kariti ovaditva uyyojesi. So acariyam vanditva baranasim gantva gharavasam gahetva annehi sippehi jivitam kappetum asakkonto dhanukotim nissaya jivitam kappessamiti luddakakammam katva jivitam kappessamiti baranasito nikkhamitva paccantagamake vasanto dhanukalapasannaddho arannam pavisitva nanamige maretva mamsavikkayena jivitam kappesi. So ekadivasam aranne kinci alabhitva agacchanto anganapariyante thitam nigrodharukkham disva api namettha kinci bhaveyyati nigrodharukkhabhimukho payasi. @Footnote: 1 passantitipi.

Tam disva bodhisatto tata cullanandiya esa me puriso mataram vijjhitukamo ahamassa jivitadanam dassami, tvam mamaccayena mataram patijaggeyyasiti vatva sakhantara nikkhamitva bho puri ma me mataram vijjhi, esa andha jaradubbala, ahamassa jivitadanam demi, tvam etam amaretva mam marehiti tassa patinnam gahetva gantva sarassa asannatthane nisidi. So nikkaruno bodhisattam vijjhitva patetva matarampissa vijjhitum puna dhanum sannayhi. Tam disva cullanandiyo ayam me mataram vijjhitukamo, ekadivasampi kho me mata jivamana laddhajivita yeva nama hoti, jivitadanamassa dassamiti sakhantara nikkhamitva bho purisa ma me mataram vijjhi, ahamassa jivitadanam dammi, tvam mam vijjhitva amhe dve bhataro gahetva amhakam matuya jivitadanam dehiti tassa patinnam gahetva sarassa asannatthane nisidi. Athassa sa tula bhijjitva sise patitva sisam bhindi. Pathavi vivaram adasi. Avicito jala utthahi. So pathaviya giliyamano acariyassa ovadam saritva imam vata karanam disva parasariyabrahmano mayham ovadamadasiti paridevamano imam gathadvayamaha idam tadacariyavaco parasariyo yadabravi ma su tvam akari papam yam tvam paccha katantape, yani karoti puriso, tani attani passati, kalyanakari kalyanam papakari ca papakam, yadisam vapate bijam tadisam harate phalanti. Tassattho yam parasariyo brahmano abravi ma su tvam papam akari, yam katam paccha tanneva tappeyyati, idam tam acariyassa vacanam, yani kayavacimanodvarehi kammani puriso karoti, tesam vipakam patilabhanto tani yeva attani passati, kalyanakammakari kalyanaphalamanubhoti, papakari ca papakameva lamakam anitthaphalamanubhoti. Lokasmimpi hi yadisam vapate bijam tadisam harate phalam bijanurupam bijanucchavikameva phalam harati ganhati anubhavatiti.

Iti so paridevantova pathavim pavisitva avicimahaniraye nibbatti. Sattha na bhikkhave idaneva devadatto kakkhalo pharuso, pubbepi kakkhalo pharuso nikkaruniko yevati vatva imam dhammadesanam aharitva jatakam samodhanesi. Tada luddakapuriso devadatto ahosi, disapamokkho acariyo sariputto, cullanandiyo anando, mata mahapajapati gotami, mahanandiyo pana ahamevati. Cullanandiyajatakam dutiyam. ---------
